Our Story
Who We Are
My name is Aaron, the assistant to Gigi and Arya. Leading with Love started back in 2023 from my own experience loving a dog that people judged before they even got to know her. Gigi came first, and through her I saw both the love and the judgment that comes with owning a bully breed. When Arya came into the picture, that bond only grew, but so did the awareness of how quickly people make assumptions, not just about the dogs, but about me too. As a person of color, I felt that in a different way.
I wasn’t trying to start anything big, I just wanted to change the conversation and show a different side of these dogs. What started through our Instagram pages, was just us sharing our everyday lives. But it quickly turned into something people connected with, something bigger than just us.
Mission
Our mission is to create a supportive, judgment-free community for dog lovers—especially those who feel overlooked or misunderstood. We’re here to bring people together, share real experiences, and offer encouragement through every stage of the journey. By supporting the humans, we help create better lives for the dogs, too.
